Finally! Someone has introduced articles of impeachment against Mr. Bush. It doesn't matter if W. honestly believed Iraq had WMDs. We The People and our Congress were never let in on the full discussion to go to war. "Oops" after you've mislead one nation and laid waste to another doesn't quite cover it. Impeachment does.
Of course, House Democrats and the media will make it go away. Neither wants to look too "Liberal" or stir up trouble in an election year. And many will find it too easy to dismiss because it's "Crazy" Dennis Kucinich. "He sees UFO's, you know." But you know what I think Kucinich is? He's an abolitionist... circa 1820. The idea to abolish slavery was right in 1820. Even if it took much of America another four decades to go... "Hmm. This whole slave thing. Not so good?"
Dennis Kucinich is right, NOW. About the need for drastic environmental policy change... about reparations for Iraq. (Hey, you destroy my house for no good reason? The least I expect is that you'll pay to rebuild it.) And he's right about impeachment for Bush. Not because it is politically timely... but because it is the correct thing to do. So let them call you crazy, Dennis. In our hearts, millions of us know you are right. I admire your courage, your heart. I love you, man. I wonder... does this secretly make me a Kucinich Woman?
